Abilities: Nika is an adept hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, a skilled markswoman with a gun and swordswoman, and a fair gymnast; she has been trained from a young age by both parents and is agile and has above average strength, speed, durability, and reflexes. She is fluent in English, French, German, Symkarian and other languages needed for business.
Weaknesses and flaws: Single-minded determination to be able to run her mother's company by the age of 22 which can distract her from important immediate things. Though a run-in with HYDRA has traumatized her to where she internalizes things more. Amazingly girly when alone with her father. She is baseline human and has all weaknesses as such.

Backstory: Prior to her birth, Nika's father and half-siblings made it to the planet via a rescue from Mojoworld. A closeness formed between the Prestons and their Mojoworld rescuers. Once more settled into this dimension, her father caught the attention of Silver Sable and began working for her company.
Shortly after John Preston was gifted with his very first 'grandchildren,' he went on a month-long vacation with his lover, Silver Sable. There was less caution used toward the latter part of the vacation and Silver ended up pregnant. Rather than raise the child alone and do a job similar to what her father did with her, Silver married John and delivered a healthy daughter a few months later. Any debate of what the daughter was going to be named often ended with firm maternal refusal to name their daughter after where she was conceived. So the Swahili word for tree top is not Veronika.
Family life in the Sable-Preston household was mostly harmonious, although Nika often found herself in the middle of squabbles between her elder sister, Lisa, and her even older cousin, Anna. Nika could never settle the issues and often grew very tired of the same arguments over and over again. When the two stopped dealing with each other due to being in different countries, it brought a lot of piece of mind for the youngest family member.
As soon as both Silver and John agreed, Nika was started on training to follow in her mother's footsteps. She was in no way pushed as hard as her mother was in training at a comparable age, but the girl worked hard because she felt the weighty expectations of her mother on her.
In her late teens, Silver Sable International expanded back to the United States after a prolonged period of cool relations with the government after having Silver Sable locked up on convincing yet faked evidence. While Nika attended a prestigious school, her sister, Lisa, worked to get the American chapter of the Wild Pack together. During that period HYDRA kidnapped Nika and held her for brainwashing purposes. She was saved by her sister and SHIELD agents aware of the stirring HYDRA activity in New York.
Traumatized by the experience with HYDRA, Nika was quieter for a time. She started dying her hair and dressing in a darker fashion. To help with her daughter moving on and being in the field, Silver hired a former SBS Royal Marine to train her daughter and had her signed up for Krav Maga classes.
Nika also currently attends Columbia University in between Wild Pack missions.
